A nice easy one after yesterday's challenge!

Arkansas Crossroads

Arkansas Crossroads, 8"

Another easy classic block. This would be nice as a scrappy quilt, with just the dark triangles a constant color.

Well, this one's kind of blah.

I have lots of these autumny blocks done already! Enough for a top pretty soon ...

Just another one for the autumny-toned set -- nothing special.

Kansas Troubles

Kansas Troubles, 16"

Another BIG block! I tend to make small pieced blocks so these really large ones are a change of pace for me.

Log cabin style blocks are my favorites!

City Streets

City Streets, 9"
This is a nice one. I wonder, if I were making an entire quilt from this block, if the brown strips would need to keep repeating, or if it would disrupt the continuity of the design if they were scrappied-up from block to block?

No problems piecing this one, and I like the warm colors.

Economy

Economy, 10"
This one is a classic old-timey block. As shown here, with just two colors, it's not too exciting, but it would be fun to make a set of these blocks in random scrappy fabrics, just like great-gramma might have done.

Rambler

Rambler, 10"

Starting into a brown/autumny colorway today, so I'm up to eight different color sets now. I have my fabric sets in separate bags, and have begun to figure out layouts for many of the groups, so it's fairly easy to create each day's block -- I can choose fabrics quickly, and I'm beginning to see where this or that block is going to fit into the big picture. Several more in this brown group coming soon.

Two weeks under my belt and going strong! :)
